General Bikram Singh Hockey Club Baramulla Clinches 4th Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Valley Championship 2025 Baramulla, June 2025 – In a thrilling final match of the 4th Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Valley Hockey Championship 2025, General Bikram Singh Hockey Club Baramulla emerged victorious by defeating Singhpora Sports Club 3-2. The tournament, organized under the aegis of Hockey J&K, witnessed high energy and enthusiasm from hockey lovers in the region. General Bikram Singh Hockey Club is run under the leadership of Hockey J&K. The match saw intense moments and brilliant performances: Arshdeep Singh (jr) opened the scoreboard in the 10th minute. Arshdeep Singh (Sr) added another goal in the 30th minute. Manmeet Singh netted a crucial goal in the 44th minute for Behram Club. Singhpora bounced back with goals from Hardeep Singh (12th minute, penalty stroke) and jaipal Singh (58th minute), leveling the match to 2-2. The final goal by Manmeet Singh sealed the championship for General Bikram Singh Club. Sumeetpal Singh of Bikram Club was adjudged Player of the Match for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament. The Chief Guest for the final was MLA Baramulla, Janab Javaid Beigh, while Gurdeep Singh Sangral, President of Hockey J&K, graced the event as Guest of Honour along with Ex-DIG Keerat Singh Ji. Other dignitaries included Raja wani, Ravi Raj Singh (Treasurer Hockey J&K), Dr. Charanjit Singh, Manjeet Singh, Satinder Singh gen. Sec. DGPC BARAMULLA. , and others. To promote the sport, a cash prize of ₹25,000 was awarded to the winning team, and ₹15,000 to the runners-up, sponsored by veteran hockey enthusiast and former DIG, S. Keerat Singh Ji. Moreover, during the event, players raised the long-standing demand for installation of an AstroTurf at the stadium – a project sanctioned over 15 years ago. However, due to delays in land allocation, the turf is yet to be laid. MLA Baramulla assured the players that the matter would be resolved within two to three months, and a world-class hockey stadium would soon be prepared. The match was officiated by: 1. Mohd. Ali 2. Hiranagar, June 15, 2025: The Sports Stadium Hiranagar was abuzz with excitement today as the Hiranagar Hockey Tournament was officially inaugurated, paying heartfelt tribute to the late Narinder Sharma, a revered hockey coach, Late Abhinandan Singh, a celebrated national-level player, Late Chandan Singh, a dedicated hockey player, and Raizada Sarupriya Bali, whose contributions to the sport remain unforgettable. Organized by the Hiranagar Hockey Club under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir, the event marks a significant moment for the local sports community, celebrating the legacy of these icons while fostering the spirit of hockey in the region. Singpora Sports Club Lifts Guru Angad Dev Ji Hockey Gold Cup 2025, After Dramatic Final Victory Baramulla, 6August 2025 — In a thrilling and action-packed finale of the Guru Angad Dev Ji Hockey Gold Cup 2025, Singpora Sports Club clinched the prestigious title by edging past a resilient Gen. Bikram Club with a 3–2 win in the penalty shootout. The high-stakes match was held amidst great anticipation and witnessed by an enthusiastic crowd and a host of distinguished guests. Match Summary: Deadlock in Regulation Time, Decided by Penalty Shootout The final encounter between Singpora Sports Club and Gen. Bikram Club remained goalless at the end of full time, despite intense efforts from both sides. Gen. Bikram Club dominated possession and earned 10 penalty corners, yet failed to convert a single one. Singpora SC, on the other hand, secured 7 penalty corners but also couldn't find the breakthrough. As the tension escalated, the match was decided through a penalty strokes, where composure and nerves were tested. For Singpora SC, Rajdeep Singh, Parvaiz Ahmad, and Karanpal Singh successfully converted their strokes. Meanwhile, for Gen. Bikram Club, Simranjit Singh and Tanveer Ahmad managed to score, falling just short in the final tally. Individual Excellence Recognized Chandanpal Singh, the goalkeeper of Singpora Sports Club, was hailed for his heroic performance during the penalty shootout and awarded Player of the match. Sumeetpal Singh was adjudged Player of the tournament for his outstanding field play and leadership.
