Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji Hockey Tournament begins today at KK Hakku Astroturf Hockey Stadium Jammu. Hon'ble MLA Jammu West inaugurated the tournament. Badhurakh club won the inaugural match by 3-2 from Sahil Club. This tournament is Organised by Khalsa Club under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir.

After the long period of 3 years Hockey J&K UT Men Hockey Championship begin on 24th March at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium Jammu . A total number of 17 teams are participating in this championship from all over the UT.
Final Match was played between JKP and Jammu North. In closely contested match Jammu north defeated JKP an experienced team by a margin of 2-1. Gurpreet Sing wearing jersey no 10 scored goal for Jammu north in the 39th minute of the game by converting penalty corner into goal. An equalizer came from JKP by Prabhjot Singh wearing jersey no. 3 scored goal by converting penalty corner into goal. And match became more interesting . In last quarter of game in the 54th minute of the game Sukhchinder Singh wearing jersey no 11 scored a field goal and gave his team a unbeatable lead.
Sunil Gupta and Sushil Kumar were the umpires for the match .Scoring judge Chanveer singh,Timing judge Gargi, Technical officer Jaspreet Singh and Sahil Kumar was the reserve umpire.
Speaking on the occasion Minister for youth services and sports Mr. Satish Sharma said that his father was also a hockey player that why he love the hockey. He further added that hockey being our national game should be given preferential treatment in policy making. He played hockey with young players after the function to encourage them at KK Hakku Hockey stadium. He congratulated the winning team and also the runners up team. He appreciated the role of Rajeev Sharma for his selfless services.
Ms. Nuhzat gul secretary J&K Sports Council appreciated the role of Hockey J&K under the patronship of Sh. Rajeev Sharma for promoting hockey. She promised that she will grant training camps for hockey in J&K .

After the long period of 3 years Hockey J&K UT Men Hockey Championship begin on 24th March at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium Jammu . A total number of 17 teams are participating in this championship from all over the UT.
Dr. Ajay Sharma JKPS S.P. Jammu South was the chief guest of today’s matches. He was introduced to the players of 2 teams : JKP and Pulwama by Mr. Rajiv Sharma Sports promoter and Patron in Chief Hockey J&K.
While addressing the on the occasion he said that he want to see that our J&K hockey players should represent Indian team. He said set the goals and then we should work hard to achieve the goal. He quoted couplets from Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat singh “Is Kadar Waqif hai Meri Kalam Mere Jajbaton Se , Agar Main Ishaq Likhna bhi chahoon to Inqlab Likha Jata Hai”. He asked the players to take strength from this quote of Shaheed e Azam Bhagat singh while performing in the championship.
Sh. Rajeev Sharma while addressing the gathering promised all possible support he asked the players to perform in the championship with full zeal and strength.

Three matches were played today in which first match was played between JKP and Pulwama. JKP won the match with margin of 9 goals to 0. Arunpreet Singh of JKP scored 2 field 8th and 29th minute of the game. Hardeep singh scored 2 field goals in the 27th and 47th minutes of game. No. 5 Karanjit Singh from JKP scored a goal in the 1st minute of the game. Thereafter captain of the team Ali Mohd Khan scored a field goal for JKP in the 6th minute of the game. No. 18 Gagandeep singh and Balbir Singh scored a field goal each Ishtiaq Ahmad scored a goal in the last minutes of the game.

We have organized 3 sub junior level tournaments and many other tournaments including District championships in various districts including Jammu. Our teams has started performing better in national championships. Our teams are preparing for sub junior men and women national championships going to held at Rajgir and Ranchi .
Three matches were played toady in which first match was played between Kupwara and Ganderbal. Ganderbal won the match with margin of 6 goals to 2. Kupwara’s Captain Sharandeep Singh scored 2 field goals in the 7th and 17th minutes of game.No. 4 Zia from Ganderbal scored an equiliser in the 13th minute of the game. Thereafter captain of the team Raja scored another gaol foe Ganderbal. No. 7 Idrees scored 3 field goals in a row in the 26,46,50 minutes of game another goal was scored by Raja in the 56th minute of game.

The District Poonch Hockey Championship 2025 commenced with great enthusiasm today at the Hockey Astro Turf Ground, BHSS Poonch.
The tournament is being organized under the aegis of Hockey J&K and sponsored by the J&K Sports Council.
The championship was formally inaugurated by Neeraj Sharma, DYSP HQ Poonch, who attended as the Chief Guest, while Mustaq Ahmed, Incharge Manager, Sports Stadium Poonch, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, DYSP Neeraj Sharma lauded Hockey J&K for its dedicated efforts in nurturing young talent and promoting hockey across the Union Territory through structured competitions and grassroots initiatives. He encouraged players to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship, stay away from drug abuse, and utilise sports as a positive force for personal growth and nation-building. He also remembered the contribution of Lt Sham Lal Sharma Retd SAI Hockey for his immense contribution in the field of Hockey.
Several prominent sports personalities were present on the occasion, including Mukesh Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Kewal Krishan, Nirdosh Kumar, Ravinder Singh, Gurdev Singh, Ram Prakash, Imran Shah, Vishal Sharma, and Ranveet Singh, along with local sports enthusiasts. The proceedings of the opening ceremony were conducted by Imran Shah.

Jammu District Hockey Championship Men 2025 begin today
Hockey jammu and Kashmir under the presidentship of Gurdeep singh organized Jammu District Hockey championship 2025 at KK Hakku Hockey stadium Jammu. 3 matches were played in the opening day of championship in which 1st match was played between GuruNanak Hockey Club and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Hockey Club in this one sided match GNN HC won the match by 8 goals to zero. Two goals scored byTejpal singh in the 4th and 34th minute of game, 2 goal scored by Gurpreet singh in the 19th and 47th minute of the game another 2 goals scored by Deepak in the 10th and 49th minute of game gagandeep Singh scored gaol in 7th minute of game.
In second match was played between MBS Club Simble camp and Badhu Rakh HC which was won by Bandhu Rakh by 5 gaols to 2 gaols. Taranjeet singh scored 2 field goals goals in the 22nd and 59th minute of game, Rohit , Kirandeep and Sunil scored one goal each in the 35th, 42nd and 51 mintes of game for Bandhurakh whereas from MBS HC side 2 goals scored by Jaswinder singh and Prabhjot Singh in the 33rd and 34th minute of game.
In the one sided third match Sahil Hockey Club defeated Gole Gujral Khalsa Hockey Club by a margin of 9 goals to 0. Jotweer Singh scored 3 goals in the 7ht, 34th, 40th minue of game . Out of 3 he converted 2 Penalty corner into goals Gurjeet Singh and Manjot Singh also scored 3 goals each.
Earlier Mr. Ajay Gupta manager KK Hakku Stadium was introduced to the players as Chief Guest. Mr. Iqbal Singh Allah a veteran hockey player was the guest of honor. Jammu witnessed a wave of excitement and pride as the Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2025 Trophy Tour reached the city today. The iconic trophy was displayed at K.K. Hakku Stadium, filling the venue with the energy of aspiring athletes, sports lovers, and school students who gathered in large numbers to celebrate the spirit of Indian hockey.
The Trophy Tour, which will travel through 20 states of India, aims to celebrate the FIH Junior Men’s World Cup 2025, promote hockey awareness and participation across the nation, and inspire the younger generation to take pride in India’s glorious hockey legacy.
The dazzling trophy procession began from Hotel Radisson and moved through Jammu University Road before reaching K.K. Hakku Stadium, where an enthusiastic crowd awaited its arrival. The atmosphere was electric as young players waved flags, cheered, and took photographs with the World Cup trophy, expressing their excitement and pride in witnessing such a historic moment.
The event was graced by Ms. Yasha Mudgal, IAS, Commissioner Secretary, Youth Services and Sports J&K, who was the Chief Guest for the occasion. She was accompanied by Ms. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, along with officials from the Hockey India Federation and J&K Hockey Association.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Yasha Mudgal said, “The arrival of the Junior World Cup Trophy in Jammu marks a proud moment for all sports lovers of the region. Jammu, June 4, 2025* – A meaningful initiative to promote education among underprivileged communities took place today at KK Hakku Stadium, Jammu, with the distribution of books to approximately 25–30 deserving individuals. The event was led by Mr. Rajiv Sharma, Member of the J&K Sports Council, known for his dedication to social upliftment and community welfare.
The occasion was honored by the presence of Mr. Aman Sharma, High Performance Director of the Sports Authority of India (SAI), who served as the Chief Guest. Distinguished attendees included Dr. Taran Singh, General Secretary of Hockey J&K (Guest of Honor), Mr. Gurmeet Singh (Retd. Selection Trials for Sub Junior women Hockey team.
Hockey J&K is going to conduct selection trials of JKUT Sub-Junior Women Hockey Team on 10-06-2025 to 11-06-2025 ,04:00 Pm at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium Jammu for 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship Scheduled to be held at Ranchi Jharkhand w.e.f 03-07-2025 to 14-07-2025 . The Coaching Camp will be organized w.e.f. 12-06-2025 . Interested players should report on time at the venue along with below mentioned documents.
1. Players must be registered on Hockey India MU Portal
2. Player must be born on or after 01-01-2009.
3. Players must carry an ID Proof (Adhaar Card, or Passport).

Election meeting of Hockey J&K held at Srinagar in Hotel Namroz , Srinagar under the observation of J&K Sports Council, Hockey India . Mr. Sekar J Manoharan Treasurer Hockey India was the observer deputed by Hockey India and Ms. Musbat Ismail Deputy Legal Remembrancer was deputed Returning Officer for the conduct of fare and smooth elections by J&K Sports Council along with Mr. Goutam Shukla present as the observers of J&K Sports Counsel. The elections were held in a very congenial atmosphere.
Speaking on the occasion Observer from Hockey India Mr. Sekar J Manmohan said that Indian Hockey is doing its best and as of now no other field game association is performing like Hockey India. Right now 4 teams are in Europe and Argentina . He congratulated the new team of Hockey J&K and assured them all possible support to promote hockey in J&K.
Ms. Musbat Ismail returning officer while congratulating the elected team said that she expect from new team to work for the promotion of game with the support of JKSC.
